Board Member and Fundraising Professional

Alishia Griffiths riding horse

Courtney is an accomplished fundraising professional and equestrian with a background spanning Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Israel and Europe.

Courtney set out to become a professional rider before deciding to undertake a business degree and working for Sportsbet in marketing, operations and innovation for five years. After bailing up the CEO for a donation at every fundraising challenge Courtney embarked on a career as a professional fundraiser at the illustrious Baker Institute, a medical research institute where she specialised in major gifts, corporate partnerships and their capital campaign. Courtney has since worked as the Head of Philanthropy for an international consulting firm, and expanded her expertise into grant making with the Active Kids and Equine Fire Relief Australia grants through the Australian Sports Foundation.

Courtney works to find unique partnerships and funding solutions, and with her background in impact and evidence based projects, ensures that every dollar raised is making a difference for the cause.

Courtney has four horses and is delighted to be able to apply her skills to help retired racehorses and change the narrative of racing.
